Opportunities for Paid Education and Research Experience
Canada's railway industry is looking for you to understand the complexities associated with winter rail service and to develop techologies and equipment to improve Canada's railway system.
Recognizing a need for innovative research for Canada's rail transportation sector, the Railroad Research Advisory Board, Transport Canada and Canada's railway sector established the Canadian Rail Research Laboratory (CaRRL). CaRRL is Canada's premiere rail research laboratory and is hosted at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta.
CaRRL is looking for high-caliber candidates to conduct graduate-level research in railway-related engineering projects. Students will work side-by-side with world-renowned researchers, industry and regulators to solve the challenges associated with Canada's railway system. The research projects conducted via CaRRL will transform how the railway industry in Canada operates. Candidates must be critical thinkers, show creativity in problem solving and enjoy the challenge of working through difficult, real-world problems. Sound like you?
